Whistlers Program

The Hockey Club has developed their own Whistlers program for young up and coming juniors to umpire hockey.

Our “Whistler Program” aims to support the development of strong umpiring capability within the Club.
The program is an education and development program that aims to use our experienced umpires to mentor new and inexperienced umpires, in conjunction with Hockey WA’s umpire accreditation pathway.
Each year we call for expression of interest from our J9/10 and J11/12 squads to start developing as umpires. If you are interested and want to get involved, Contact: Amanda 0410325844

All Umpires will need a Working with Children check.

MVP - Mods Volunteer Program

Giving children the opportunity to volunteer in their community allows them to develop social skills,gain a sense of purpose and the chance to help others.

The Mods Volunteer Program (MVP) encourages the spirit of giving back to the club and community, and exposes our junior members to other aspects of club life outside of the game.

Our goal is to continue building on the strong community culture at Mods, encouraging our juniors to carry on this mentality into their senior playing years.

Players accumulate points through different volunteer categories;

  • Canteen

  • Coaching

  • Special Events

  • Whistlers Program (first year)

Hours/points accumulated will go towards your overall seasons achievement.

This program is for juniors in Years 9-12.
