White Ribbon Round

Published Mon 28 Jul 2025

This week, we pause to remember Georgia Lyall, her son Knox, and their family, following the tragic events of July 27th, 2023, in South Guildford. As a club and a community, we hold them in our hearts.
From 4th to 10th August 2025, players are encouraged to wear a white ribbon, wristband, or headband during their game to honour Georgia’s memory and stand quietly in support of those affected by domestic violence.

White Ribbon Round is dedicated to this weekend's games to Georgia Lyall, her son Knox and the family. The Committee would like all our members to wear a black arm band along with a white ribbon, white headband or white sweat band (to show support for the White Ribbon cause). We also ask that a minutes silence is held at the start of each junior and senior game.

The following should be read out before the minutes silence:
"We pause for a minute to pay our respects to Georgia Lyall. We send our condolences and support to her son and family during this difficult time. Today, as a community, we wear a white ribbon as a vow to never commit, excuse or remain silent about domestic violence and violence against women"
